MONOLITH Alpha #22
I’m continually awed by the generosity and compassion of our community. After the devastating earthquake in Turkey/Syria, people from the community wanted to find some way to help. I’m highlighting two editions that are donating 100% of the proceeds from their editions to organizations providing aid to the victims of the earthquakes. I’ve included the full descriptions of each open edition so that you can read where the proceeds will be going.
PCGI_EQ is a 24 hour OE, with 100% of mint proceeds going to those affected by the devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. As a Turkish engineer//NFT creator, I’m horrified by the scenes unfolding on our southern border and ask my community to contribute anything they can to support this cause - minting even just 10 of the OE can help provide shelter for a family affected by the disasters 24 hours after mint closes, all transaction details will be posted to Twitter for verification by the community.
I am donating $10,000 to Oxfam to send emergency aid to Syria and Turkey. But together, we can double this amount! For every edition sold (which cost only $1) I will add $1 more to my donation amount. Together, this can be $20,000 when I give on Friday Feb 10, 2023. I choose Oxfam because of their near perfect charity ratings, which means that most of the donation goes to directly helping those in need (instead of operational costs). I feel good about donating through them because of their history of making each dollar donated count.
