One thing I’m really enjoying about editions is how much people are experimenting with it. It’s not a new format, but I think the combination of Manifold making it much easier to create editions and low gas prices are creating a fertile ground for new ideas that reach a broader audience. It is even getting non-artists to experiment with creating NFTs, like Vincent Van Dough with his “Pepe checks” edition, which is a derivative of Jack Butcher’s “Checks”. Then others made derivatives of VVD’s derivative. It may seem trivial and inconsequential, but what I like about it is that people are having *fun*.
So I wanted to support people who are experimenting with editions like my friend Maria Fynsk Norup, who just released her editions on the new Babylon platform. Also as I was writing this issue, my friend Omar Z Robles launched his “checks” derivative, so wanted to support him in joining the fun with “checks”.
niiiiiiiice! Just got the one from Omar 🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀
