It’s fascinating how things naturally come in waves. This week there was an unusual number of black and white photography and also two water droplet pieces. I’m also finding that I’m being more selective in terms of juxtaposition, how pieces complement each other in both similarities but also differences. I’ve also had a couple that were submitted early on and were sent in again either by the artist themselves or by a friend, which I’m now including. There is an ebb and flow to this process that I’m really enjoying and I plan go with it versus try to exert any kind of structure around it.
It’s a very simple idea, just receiving and sending emails, yet something beautiful is growing out of that flow. It reminds of a great quote from Bruce Lee:
Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way around or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves.
Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.
Eric that Aurora is simply stunning!!!
Lovely artworks!
